John Digweed was amazing. Best set of the night all the way. Armin kinda dissapointed with his track selection. I've heard better ASOTs.

highlight of the night for sure, espcially because i was on the stage when he played that track !

ferry's manager a class act, with a sick shirt that said, 33 1/3 RPM

he told me he picked it up in some ISLAND when they had a party with ferry

Ok...i just came back to DC and wow...i'm speechless. This was my second labour of love and I owuld have to say it was so much better than last year's. Armin's set was money. Digweed's was good. Ferry was good although it seems like whenever he plays a lenghty set, he plays the same over and over. Great meeting a lot of TOTA's and hangin with the NYTA crew. More to come later after I get some much needed sleep.

Holy Fack what a night!!

Been a while since I have been to the Guv(or to any party).. and what a return it was.

Spent the entire night in the K/H since I will never understand how anyone could actaully stand being the in Guv Main Room. Its always rammed full at an all access event and more hotter then a gym locker room.

Great seeing all the TA's and dancing my ass off with all of you once again.
Also nice meeting and partying with the polish TA community. You ladies rock!

Till the next big event I guess.

:D

Got to the club around 11:30, where I was given a reduced pass instead of a comp. Having arrived with only $35 in my pocket, this was a problem. John Tang was in constant contact w/me via text messaging, & Patricia had gone inside in search of a loan for me, since all cash machines were out of service (WTF?!?!) and I didn't have my bank card w/me anyways. Luckily Talal spotted me outside and asked if I was ok, and I said no, and he just waived me in. Thanks so much Talal! Got into a super-crowded & humid KH. Hung out on the couches w/folks til I was ready to mobilize, I was still pretty wiped out from the BBQ.
I thought Armin played a good set. THE WORST place to be is behind the DJ booth when Armin was leaving- holy rush of people! Literally had to climb and claw my way out of there. That's when I met mazzin finally, and we went off to check out Digweed, but detoured into the tent for a while. Turns out this guy Boyz Noise was on and he was rippin up!!!!! Dropped "Beat It" mixed w/ "Vogue" :eyespop: So good! Finally made our way into the Guv, hung out in the Acid Lounge on the couches. Music wasn't really grabbing me, made our way back to the KH for Ferry, who was 25 mins into his set. Nice to see Ferry's friend (?) Brian there with him again- met him w/Ferry once about 5 yrs ago in the Guv, he's such a sweetie. If Ferry really played "Leaving London", I'm so pissed. Musta been the time I went over to the Guv patio to hang out and catch some Benny Benassi. :whip: Went back for more Ferry, he was seriously on fire, but left at 9:30am.

My body is still so 'off' today, I wish I could go home and just sleep. Had a rude awakening this morning when I went to my car and found that someone had been in it and stole my Sirius satellite radio. Dumbass ripped out the antennae & I've blocked service on it so its useless to them. :whip: :whip:

He was sick though, so I can understand why they were in a hurry not to miss him.

Benassi was Sick! I didn't hear any of it, but Carney told me so, so it has to be true!

There were other ways that he could have done this though that were not so cruel.

Cruel and unusual punishment it was, what did we do to deserve that!

Wow. OK i think i'm good to give my review now.

I arrived at the Guv with Alex at around 10:45. I had yet to get my ticket so i wanted to get there early. Spoke to some of the security staff while waiting in line and was very suprised at how organized everything was (he ranted or a while). The line FLEW by, amazing. Chilled by the tent and waited for my other friends to show. I really enjoyed the sounds of Chris Laroque, good tunes to get the night started.

Once everyone arrived we headed straight for the KoolHaus for Armin. The crowd wasn't that bad but the ventilation was ASS-POOR! There is no way it should have gotten that sticky in there. And for god sakes if they don't want to ventilate the place put some insulation on the airducts so we don't get SOAKED with a SWEAT-COCKTAIL dripping from the cieling. Other than that the sounds and lights were great. I was expecting a few more hard tracks but overall it was a good set. I enjoyed Proper Education and Live Less Ordinary. It sucked that I had to leave to get some air so i missed about 30 mins of his set.

The worst part of the night was the mission and back from the Skybar. OH MY GOD. I was going to lose it when we were trying to get through the Drink. And we aren't D&B fans at all so we did not enjoy that what so ever.

We got back to Junkie XL. He was ok. I had to sit down for a while after our expedition to the SkyBar and back to i could have energy for Ferry. Once he came on we were back up and at it. We relocated to the side where lots of the TAs were and that was by far the best time of the night. Ferry did a good job and i met a whole bunch of you. I don't remember most of your names but i'm sure we'll run into each other again.

Overall, you have to give props to Charles and the boys for having a party like that with minimal ups. They just have to do something about the Drink.

Well, thats it, i'm heading to back to Kingston today. I'll see you guys at an event on Christmas Break!

PEACE
