Most emotional night at the Guvernment complex I've ever had.
Spitty..."OMG, what are you doing here? Let's take a picture!" I'm so ing glad you're home. You made my night. It was so great to just look over, see you dancing and smile...it felt like you had never left.
For the majority of the night I was just hanging out with everyone...bonding sessions! Madness. It was awesome though. Last LOL I was so busy dancing I didn't even see half the people who showed up.
My night didn't really start until 4am. I made a quick stop behind the decks in the KH to admire Ferry's butt. Then I quickly made my way to front row centre. I did not leave that spot the entire night. Shannon, Kal & I held the fort down with some apperances by Cale, Laura, Nada, Spitty, RJ, Margs, and my favorite...Justin & Shelley! Hahaha
The only time I left the stage was when I went up ONto the stage to talk to Ferry & his manager (thanks Pete). He said he thought we were crazy for still being here at 8am and wanting more. He remembered me from meeting me numerous times this summer...but who wouldn't :tongue2 I left one other time...I literally ran to the bathroom b/c I thought I was going to die. Sketch moment of the night: Lars saw me and dragged me to where everyone else was dancing. I had this look of horror on my face b/c I wanted to run to the bathroom and run back!! hahaha
Out of the 4 times I've seen Ferry this summer...LOL was definatly the best. Then again it was the longest set he had a chance to play...which I think are always better b/c he has so much time to spin all kinds of stuff. Classic trance, brand new stuff, tracks off his new album...I loved it. I don't know why, but it felt so surreal to me.
Ferry...if you're reading this...you saw my sign..."See you in Holland next summer!" |

Lisa, does he know your name without being reintroduced?
That's when you are a superfan. |

When I met him again at the private party in NYC back in June he didn't...but he actually did on Sunday! I was excited!! I guess it was b/c back in June it was more than a "hey, what's up, I love you"...I actually had a few conversations with him throughout the night. |

and after this picture..

I don't think ferry will ever forget lisa's name.. :eyes:
i'm glad you had so much fun..
As for my review.. I couldn't have asked for anything more.. It was all my first trip to ibiza was (well, minus the sunshine) with a great group of folks on the side. I don't know if I can seperate my feelings between the people, djs, club, night, town, and country.. The quality time with Armin and Ferry certainly counted as highlights, as did a few tracks post 8:30 am which gave me chills even though I beyond exhaustion (and sober). Mad points to everyone who was still there when I left (at 9:45am for the airport).. when did it end by the way?
BBQ pics coming soon.. Sometime this weekend for sure.

I love watching someone watch a DJ they love.. Jon Jon and Max, Sling and the Dish, Jenn and Preach... Happy to add Lisa and Ferry to the list.
While you were on stage Justin and I were guarding your spot at the front. It was a little awkward when Danielle came over and only Justin and I were at the front and of course it is a hands in the air kind of moment. Her reaction was priceless... :haha:
Favorite set of the night.. Digweed - He owned. Simpler was my song of the night. Since he played it at the beginning of the set I continued to hope it would be my second favorite of the night.. but 1983 never came. I predict he was foreshadowing for Dragonfly... fingers crossed anyway.
We ended up with plenty of room the entire night.. got up to the Skybar right away and stayed there until 2:45 (the Benassi masses had made there way up - we quickly went down). Plenty of room for Diggers (minus the Benassi masses making their way from the Skybar to the main room).. and then by 6:30 there was room in the Kool Haus.
All in all a great night.. good tunes and better company. |

Can anyone confirm/deny that Armin in fact played John O'Callahagn & Bryan Kearney - Exactly?
I re-read the entire thread and only one person said that he did. I didn't hear it and I don't remember leaving the Kool Haus the entire time he was on. I took a video during pretty much every song I wanted to hear but don't have one for that track. |
sorry i meant to say he played it in windsor not in Toronto :(
pm me if u want the video |
