| the people that have retured should definatly get charged some fraction of the cost. It was ovious the they would return to thier home right after things cooled down. People from the middle east (arab courntries) come to Canada to get a Canadian Passport which will benefit them in thier lives / business back at home. As it is much more convinient to travel with a Canadian Passport and do business and such. I have worked with an person that had imigrated from jordan with such intentions. |

| If these people were so quick to return, and there were many of them, I think they should have covered a portion or all of their share of the bill. There should be time limitations as to who is actually considered citizen compared to others who just have a Canadian passport for convenience. |

I have seen a few MPs on the news saying that some sort of compensation needs to be worked out, and that the rules need to be changed. It seems that some are not afraid to say it, and the media is actually agreeing.
I think the evacuees should have to pay. Evacuate first, and then pay after, kinda like medical treatment. |
