Interesting topic

I will check back in two days and read the entire thread

jenn and I were having this discussion after Sander Van Doorn's set....a lot of interesting things were said including how we heard so many elements of electro/prog house in SVD's set just twisted with a techy edge ... it was good

This is where it gets confusing, I'm less describing ONE song but rather a style. Karlo hit the head on the nail, I'm just noticing trends lately in which patterns of melodies (which remind me of trance) are coming back in a huge way.

I'll try to find a song, but I doubt I'll find one that explains what I mean entirely. I'm more just saying, "yo check this trend".

edit: I think I should also narrow down my argument to saying that "trance elements are finding their way into HOUSE-like songs". As people are getting confused. lol Trance is still being played everywhere, but it doesn't make it trendy haha (this thread is going to get nasty)

I've always loved the melodic sounds in house.

What he means is that melodies are coming back. Not 'Trance' per se, but musical elements that actually make a song feel like a song, rather than a few recurring notes and beats for 3-4 minutes.

I think.
