FFS!

Clearly you completely missed the point. See the thread "Songs that need to die" with regards to your statement about Sander. Your initial statement and thread opener is about trance coming back... as if it it disappeared. You need to be a little less vague since if you say its coming back then your implying it is going and or gone. Meaning Trance from the 90's is gone? Hell yes, and that music will never come back. As far as being converted to House... I specifically stated I only stick to progressive house.. and Tribal.. to be exact darker beats like Moshic used to play. Click on one of the links in my sig if you want an idea of what I listen to/mix nowadays.

Anyways the point being here.. trance never died, trance never will die, but most people think it has simply because they want those years back from the past... which will never happen.

Ah, ok. I only saw this edit now. I've noticed it happening alot lately, not only with house, but with techno too.

Agreed 110%. I heard this more than a few times on Sunday night @ Guv and even a few at Sonic the night prior.

+1, I forget what set I was just listening to last night...come to think of it, I don't even remember the name of the song I'm talking about it. But I recognized it as an old school trance song, but it was remixed into a house song. You wouldn't even know it was ever a trance song.

Oh heck yea Nada! SO GOOD!

Man...now that i think about it, i think you're totally right jon. i've been browsing through my tunes which i purchased over the last 2 months or so and there's definately more and more "trancey" house/breaks in my collection.

can't believe i didn't notice this till you pointed it out.

AMEN.
EvilTree
Miika Kuisma & Kenjido Okaru - Basscore

It's got a very techy driving housey bassline, but there are a lot of trancey ish melody thing going. (I'm guessing this is where Kuisma comes in)

IMO worth a look.
Floorwhore
Vibe Dealers - Vibe De Laine

the epitomy of what has been dubbed as........

TROUSE

Kaiser Souzai - Monique would also fall under this category.

eurodance is dead.
freestyle is dead.
anyone who thinks otherwise is still stuck in the 90s and listens to tony monaco and dj danny d on a regular basis.

booya grandma...tony monaco... what a dirty coozhound.

people who say that trance is dead are those that don't know the first thing about EDM in general.

Monique is a great tune. So "anti-climatic" though. Such a huge build-up, and then when it comes back to the beat...it goes back to that subdued, minimalistic (not the genre) rhythm. Such a great teaser track.

actually ive noticed this too lately ... alot of the techier / minimal producers have been moving away from that sound and making some kick ass ! housey / techy sorta tracks with some nice melodies / trancier influences!

the one that springs to mind is this ...

dominik eulberg - bionik [cocoon recordings]

really good !

:D

yea i agree...its come to a point where there people calling the genre "melodic minimal" ...doesn't that defeat the purpose of minimal?? I like minimal but a set of whole minimal is really boring...maybe good for a warm up DJ
electro funk
trance elements and all this other ....blah blah blah

so many samples have been recycled and re-used for so many years and will continue to. no elements of any genre will ever be forgotten or lost......except hopefully that happy hardcore e...ahahahah
