U of T students are best at this. What's funnier is just how helpless they are in anything that doesn't deal with what they're doing at U of T. Most of them don't have a mind of their own, they just believe that anything outside of what they're doing is meaningless.
Like this one time I met this girl who was taking some useless artsy-fartsy program at U of T that'll get her nowhere. She asks me what I'm taking and I go "Marketing at George Brown college" and she replies "soooo, like....are you going to be a store manager at La Senza??" I burst out laughing, said no, and walked out of the room. |

and that's exactly who my parents are. I can't stand it. They have a point to a degree, but like you said, there are plenty of people out there who become just as successful wo college degrees.
But no, with them it's "Get your education!! Or don't talk to us" (pretty much) :whip: |

Yeah dude. Funny thing...there's a Chinese girl in my program who dropped out of UofT BIOCHEM (omg tech ) after her third year for that very reason. She came to Canada expecting a cultural/social experience, but was disappointed when she realized that she's nothing more than a number there. She hated how nobody interacted with each other, and feared that she wasn't getting enough experience in other areas.
Also, I have a friend in her last year of the pharmacist program, and she's only NOW starting to do clinical placements!
Yeah...REAL good education you get at UofT. :rolleyes:

Ugh, brutal man. My father had the same mentality. So do a lot of my friends...I can't stand how they think they're so much better than everyone just because of their credentials. Ignorant morons. The irony is that most of them are piece of excuses for human beings, lol. |

my russian/ukranian friend..considered to be one of my main niggas, dropped out of highschool, got locked up for 2 yrs is now working as the super of a brand new building on Park Ave South. he makes more in tips per week than his regular pay check/salary of 40K and is now driving a G35x, this is all in say 2yrs since he got out... |
