Depends on how resourceful the cat is. Mine still has his back claws, and he can put up a mean fight. I've watched him kill a mouse by trapping it with his front paws and then just beating it with them. |

I agree with Jenny on the declawing. Think about how it would feel if someone surgically removed your finger nails :(

claws arent just fingernails to cats, they assist in balance, defense and everyday mobility. declawing not only can damage the cat's nerves and cause pain for life - its akin to cutting your finger tendons in your hand, the lower arm muscles cannot be exercized and will atrophy. (it's cruelty) |
