| Given the dramatic societal differences between users here on TA (and the general lack of respect for them), this is probably one of the single worst places I can imagine to have a debate over declawing. |

i agree.
clearly, the best way to have this debate is at 4 in the morning over the phone with me while i'm drunk and coked up. |

just to give you guys an update, i brought Sasha home last night from the kitty clinic after his front declaw and he is doing GREAT so far. he seems to be recovering very easily and he is running around and playing like normal. he gets a little confused when he tries to climb up me. like he'll look up at me with this expression like "wtf mom, where are those sharp things i had in my paws that helped me climb you?!" ... but his attitude definitely has not changed at all. |

i thought about naming my kitty Diggers, but when we got it and weren't sure if it was a boy or girl, we figured Sasha was a better option. maybe when we have a house and more room for pets we'll get a puppy and name him Diggers!
and speaking of pets... holy , i was at my ex-bf's house last night and when i walked in and saw my old cat he looked soooo ing huge! it's weird to look at normal sized cats when you're used to seeing a tiny lil kitten. i swear i thought my old cat grew to like twice the size of what he used to be... |
