You need to remember, mixing is an art form thus there can be no right or wrong.

"I love trainwrecks, beatmatching is boring for me.
When I beatmatch I feel I'm doing the same thing as others, and I'm not being original.
Trainwreck it's my own style mixing."
For me that's wrong, what do you think? |

that doesnt make sense beatmatching and mixing are two different things. beatmatching plays a small part of being a dj anyone can learn it and do it well mixing plays a massive part not everyone can learn to mix well. |

Good job at proving your lack of knowledge in here, and your inability to be open mided. |
How long have you been djing again? 3 months? |

Oh i see. I'm not a dj btw, harmonic mixing is just a hobby of mine.
But since you did want to make it clear that this isn't something ive been doing for years, its safe to assume that you believe it takes longer than six months to get the basics down?
All your doing here is proving that i learn fast, and im passionate about my hobby

We just don't understand why you use mixshare, and then use a keyboard to confirm ALL of what mixshare says.
Why don't you just skip a step and key it on a keyboard from the beginning? |

Because i can't.
Lets take the most recent tune i looked up on mixshare Simon & Shaker - Zero (original mix) mixshare shows a few uploads for this one.. some have keyed it as a 7A, some keyed it as 8A.
I find Dm & Am on the keyboard, and hold them down (not together) at the same time while i play "zero" it sounds like a Am (8A) to me so its confirmed to the best of my knowledge.
Now you ask why dont i just do that from the begining? eventually maybe once i get the hang of, or maybe even play the keyboard. But luckily for me most of the tracks i have people have already keyed and uploaded to mixshare which is free and one click of the mouse away.
And to be honest i hardly ever go through this, because most of my tunes have repeat uploads to mixshare and they're all the same, and when i mix them with other compatible keys i can tell instantly that they work together, and if in some cases they don't i use the key board.. it just takes time but im lazy sometimes. |

It really is a lot faster to use a program and a keyboard in conjunction. Especially if you're new and trying to develop your ear it helps to have a reference to check yourself against. |

True, but he doesn't seem to be in any hurry. It is just a hobby of his and would probably be better in the long run for him if he did it himself from the beginning. |

Meh, I'm generally very happy with the MixShare results.
If they prove very wrong, I use a guitar. But that's pretty much the only time. |

But if he wants to learn he still needs a reference. |
