Dean, everytime i have been to an AFL match, i have seen fights inside the ground, outside the ground... Bigger fights than i had seen at all my time in going to a soccer game.
Ie. Essendon v collingwood i saw a guy stabbed in the eye with a pen in a massive brawl.
Difference? You never read about it in the paper. If it happens at the soccer its front page plus sprinkled with a few extra white lies. What you read isnt always the truth! |

Until Melbourne Victory get 4 stars, represent Australia at the World Club Championship, play the football the likes of Paul Trimboli, Oscar Crino, Murphy, Gardiner, Puskas, Boutsianis, Lozanovski play, the Victory can keep the plastic fantastic club and shove it up their clackers. There is only one true club in Australia...It stuck through football thick and thin, no excuses. Until Victory can have a resume like that, they are still for the tip. |
pppppffffffffttttttt Paul 'the poodle' Trimboli.

Have you ever been Paulie to a Melb Victory game?
I know guys who were against the A League but now love it.
Although some people I guess cant accept it.....
Anyhow... isnt the new stadium only going to fit 20,000 people? or something like that?

Violence in any sport is sad to see, however I do remember some very bad brutal fights from the NSL days.
It was only a minority of the hooligans who made the other clubs get a bad name, its their fault and some of the corrupt khunt board members, who fukt things up.
Im just glad soccer has finally become recognized in the WHOLE of Australia!

Did anyone go to the mariners game last wk? That was in awsome! Within the first 13 min there where 4 goals and one red card.
Both teams played like the local under 16's but it was still entertaining. |

only in a caneater country can ethnics be criticised for lighting flares at teh soccer yet when a fellow caneater lights one up at a MV game there is no mention of it at all. |
