okay.. you guys are acting like she was dealing candy.. were talking about drugs here.. i know its just marijuana, but think of how many kids are going to get their hands on it.. and as we all know, marijuana is the gateway drug.. next thing you know they'll be shooting up.. i agree that the law is a little harsh, but if you dont want to follow the laws of another country, please be prepaired to pay THIER consequenses.. see ya |
holy this has got to be the most uneducated post lol ok...
"i know its just marijuana, but think of how many kids are going to get their hands on it"
if shes holding about a pound and a half like it says, odds are she is going to be seeling to regular users by the ounce...people who would have found it elsewhere.
"and as we all know, marijuana is the gateway drug"
I don't know what you think you know bute, ACTUALLY, every statistical study done in the last decade has shown otherwise. weed is just the first drug people try because it is the most available and the least taboo.
"next thing you know they'll be shooting up"
I know 1 person who does Heroin. I KNOW over 100 people that smoke herb. |

The government is the right of the people
A country is a republic of people in it where in it a system of control is formed
We call that control: the government
This goes to any government: A government's purpose is FOR the people
A government's right is TO PROTECT
A government's control does not exceed
control over ANYONE's life(as in life
or death)
A government is to be reformed when it
violates these laws BY THE PEOPLE
Sux for the german girl who didnt play in the right country |

nah, the woman knew the ing rules and laws when she went to singapore. Singapore and Malaysia are very, very strict places in terms of drugs but then again, they are not the only countries with death sentences for drugs. If she had wanted to smoke up, she should have done it in Germany because the laws are the laws in that country and it is well known and you don't around with drugs in those countries, they will kick your ass. Most of their drug laws are to deter smugglers and dealers from dealing, not the recreational user but you people who smoke up are offended because you think that it is a harmless drug but in certain parts of the world they don't think that way.
| quote: | | No 'scientific' study is required in a legal matter. DNA testing has freed 77 death row inmates since 1970. These facts are just that, FACTS. Just because I linked to the ACLU, which yes is a special interest group; it still however uses facts to fight for its cause not made up numbers. |
But how many people has it saved from death by putting the monsters out of their ing misery?
So you telling me that you rather have psychopaths (who cannot feel sympathy or regret for their actions) should get 25 to life with the possibly of parole and be able to walk the streets even thought, NO AMOUNT OF REHAB can fix these monsters. Would you want richard ramirez walking the streets around your family? the answer is obviously no and people like him deserve to be put out of their ing misery and be executed. The death penalty needs to be in force for certain crimes, certain people should just get life in prison or do what they do here, slap the dangerous offender status on them and they can never get out and the gov't can hold certain people so dangerous to society in prison forever to protect society. Certain people need the death penalty and we should have not taken it out (still exists in Canada for treason....tho I doubt someone would be tried for it)....so you mean to tell someone who lives in Canada that someone like Paul Bernardo should be allowed to walk the streets of any Canadian city again?.....think not....
anyway...all you people with the whole "smoke weed, it's ok" fail to also realize that it is a muslim nation under islamic law which last I checked = death sentence for drugs. |

The laws over there suck! I understand about that girl living there for 5 years and all but, WHY THE DEATH PENALTY????????? It just doesn't make sense! This is the second place I kinow of that does this to drug consumers/traffickers/etc. (Malaysia also does it!)!!! I always wanted to know WHY does this law exist??? People on TA from those regions SPEAK UP! I don't care if I get flamed for this ESPECIALLY since this women's from Germany, where they don't have those kind of laws! The Singaporeans should have the common sense to THINK about where she's from and about the values of human life! Is it like this in ALL of Asia??? If so, WHY? What made whoever made these laws up decide that the Death Penalty is the BEST solution? Is it some kind of beliefs that make things like this happen? Because I'd like to know. Things like this get me angry and the people who suffer these consequences don't deserve to die! Who else agrees with me? Who doesn't? Why? LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!! |
my cousin got caught with weed in malaysia by the cops
he offered them some and they let him go in the end......corrupt cops..lots of them in malaysia |

I'm not too religious, though I do retain knowledge through profuse reading...
The 6th Commandment: Thou Shalt Not Kill
Genesis 4:15
And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
Exodus 20:13
"Thou shalt not murder." |

| im not against capital punishment. the purpose of capital punishment is to reduce the crime rate. if your guilty of a crime u should be punished either by death or life imprisionment. well about being charged of possession of drugs, i dont think u should be sentenced to death. but some countires are very strict about minor things, which they shouldnt be. |

i feel bad for her but she shouldve known better...all of them..her and her co-accused
whenever i step foot in singapore to visit my moms relatives im scared to that maybe theres even a little bit of weed i forgot hiding in my clothes or luggage..and even if someone payed me a million dollars i would not deal over there, let alone 600+ grams. and if 500 grams is the threshold, why bother going over it, thats plenty to deal at one time if you value your life. people should know that its no ing joke and they WILL kill you if you get caught
that said im strongly opposed to the death penalty except in the most malicious of crimes...the law is stupid, she should not die, but she took that chance...like playing russian roulette |
