Yeah... Compared to last season which made my heart stop and left me speechless. It was almost completely predictable and has not left me excited for next season.
Deb should have found out. That would have been the perfect cliff hanger. |
plus in the trailer they show quinn watching dexter's video that liddy recorded. nothing on that. they just did the last min edits so they can make one more season |

| thats kinda weird, why didnt she just go in to see who was there and let them go? that would have been wicked if she knew. |

| I thought it ended very well. i really didn't want debra knowing. i was very surprised and shocked that lumen left. i figured he would have someone that understood him. and i was shocked that he got so angry. he has never showed emotion and you could tell he wasn't just faking it. there were no voice overs to what he was actually thinking. i was also so surprised that he let quinn go. |

I was also surprised Lumen left. perhaps they are trying to show that once the underlying factor that creates "the darkness" has been resolved, it is possible to let that darkness go.
Also is it possible that somewhere deep inside, Deb knows? or maybe not...she is a great cop and despite her wanting Chase dead, she could never condone her own brother living the lifestyle he does. Her morals wouldn't allow for it. |

Well that ended in sort of the way i thought it would considering i don't think they'd start the next season with dexter serving a life sentence in jail...certainly interesting though the way Deb dealt with it.
Post murder scene it didn't really leave much to the imagination. This is probably the first time since the show started that a season has ended with everything being closed.
There is supposed to be another season, but it's still unofficial. |
Next season is official. They announced it last week.
I wanted Lumon to be around. I am happy it wasn't as intense as the end of season 4. |

good. not great. wasn't the best ending tbh. felt like a series finale where everyone is happy, together, celebrating a birthday.
now with the story wide open (i'm not sure how close they're following the books) i hope they go in the direction of dexter making some mistakes and the police close in to finding out what he does. and in the end deb saves dexter by doing something that'll get her killed or something like that. basically one of them has to get killed. |

that or deb is solving the cases normally and realizes that the vigilante is still out there and connectes the bay harbour butcher to the vigilante and they start getting close to find out who is dexter |

I just rewatched it and it was Liddy watching the tape not Quinn. |

I read an article yesterday (Can't remember the site) but the writer stated that even though Lumen left, there is still a possibility of her coming back.
I guess it might depend on the ratings for her character, and whether or not the fans liked her, but there is possibilities of her return for next season.

That makes sense.. I'm sure the overall consensus is that most viewers liked her character. Maybe she'll make a cameo appearance in an episode or two at least. |
