That was my hunch too.
I want to know what direction the hand in the box is going.... |

| I've been wanting Deb to discover Dexter's secret for so long, but the finale still seemed somewhat unsatisfying. Deb's sudden discovery that she's "in love" with Dex just doesn't seem realistic. It seems unrealistic that she would be so distracted and focused on her newly discovered love during a crisis of such magnitude for her department and her new position within the department. I don't think the show runners will have a Deb / Deb romance, but they wanted to dangle it over the audience for awhile for shock value. Now that Deb knows Dexter's secret, I predict she'll suddenly forget about her romantic interest in him, and the dilemma will change to how Deb handles the fact that Dex is a serial killer. We already know she won't turn him in, especially for offing someone like Travis. But it will become clear to Deb that Dexter has actually been undermining the department by making high profile killers disappear - and seemingly escape - making the MMPD look incompetent. The best path for the show to take would be for Deb to realize the potential for Dexter to catapult her to the highest level of law enforcement by helping her with the biggest cases. |

I agree - I think that would be a new character development for Dexter, not to kill the bad guys but to help Deb have them arrested/jailed |

Great season overall!
I liked the doomsday killer story line quite a bit and it was also nice to see them teasing bigger plot points for next season.
- The Intern...
- Quinn being a mess
- Deb's weird attraction to her step-brother
I thought that Dexter finally catching up to Travis was slightly anti climatic and I also felt they sort of rushed the end of this season. Maybe I wasn't paying attention but why did Deb end up going to the church at the end. Did she have a reason that I missed? Or was she going there to tell Dexter how she felt?
It was certainly quite a "holy " moment at the end and as always I'm gonna hate waiting a whole year to see what happens. |

Deb knew Dexter will be at the church because she told him to clean up the evidence there again, so I guess she rushed to spill her feelings to him ASAP
also they are not technically step-siblings, as he was adopted by her Dad (I thought being a step-brother would be if Harry married his Mom?) |
