The DePrisco family in Woodbridge may never get the answers they're looking for, but they're not alone in their search for the truth. A city official in Acapulco is giving them a reason to keep digging, following the mysterious death of their teenage son.
The official doesn't want to be identified, because he's scared for his life. But he believes 19-year-old Adam DePrisco was beaten to death, and not hit by a car outside a club, as other Mexican authorities are reporting. The official says, witnesses saw DePrisco being beaten.
He's not the first to attack the account of DePrisco's death reported by authorities. The young man's travel partner, Marco Calabro, has been telling a different story from the beginning. He claims DePrisco was taken out of a nightclub by bouncers and dragged down the street, after he apparently danced with another man's girlfriend. According to Calabro, street cleaners were out immediately after the incident, to clean up the evidence.
DePrisco's family also says Mexican doctors have cast some doubt on the police story. They say his head injuries aren't consistent with a hit-and-run. |

Yep ... buddy got booked for taking a piss on the road ... him and some other guy were in cuffs ... the cop goes give me 100 bucks each and I wont take you to jail

In this situation you benefit, but i doubt that the overall pro's outweigh the cons of the corruption of the mexican police. |

While DePrisco's grief-stricken parents awaited the scheduled Friday night arrival of their son's body, his travelling companion Marco Calabro continued to rail against the notion his best friend's death was a hit-and-run.
"From (the) neck down, he had no injuries," Calabro said. "It just makes no sense at all."
Calabro has told the family that he believes DePrisco was "set up" and that their room was robbed, Pannozzi said from the Toronto-area home where the family gathered to grieve.
A local girl had pulled DePrisco close to her on the dance floor of an Acapulco nightclub early Sunday, but when another man objected, the bouncers ejected DePrisco, she said.
Calabro has said he observed a group of young men following DePrisco shortly before he found his friend outside the club, his face beaten so severely he was almost unrecognizable.
After spending several hours at the hospital with DePrisco, who died Monday night, Calabro returned to the hotel room the two were sharing for their planned two-week holiday to discover it had been robbed, Pannozzi said.
"There was a camera pointed to his room but he couldn't see the surveillance tape," she added.

I'm definitely going back to Cancun in the next year or two.
Stick to the resort, beach, Coco Bongo's, Daddy O's, tour guides - and you will be as safe as you would be walking the streets of Toronto. (or safer) |

lol oasis cancun was great I had no problems ... mind you it is a ty joint. I never had one problem ... alright I did our ing bathroom didnt have a door |
