you have to look at both sides. What if you are a bouncer and some tourist comes to a club and starts hitting on ur girl. Im sure that you would wanna teach him a lesson about how its done in Canada.

so lets say he did call him a "dirty mexican" that gives him the okay to kill him????

Im not Mexican, things might be different there. Whats custom here doesnt have to be a custom in Mexico.

Oviously the kid didnt need to die, but by the news report it seems like it was a situation that he brought upon himself.

I heard about this on the news - truly is a sad case of a vacation!:(

they still haven't resolved that other double murder that happened there about a year ago. . .:D

NOONE DESERVES TO DIE! How can you say HE BROUGHT IT UPON HIMSELF??

So if someone in you family got murdered for calling someone a name or hitting on a girl, you would say THEY BROUGHT IT ON THEM SELVES? I DONT THINK SO. So please have some sympathy.

Wow. I can't believe you just said this. No one deserves to die especially if he was simply hitting on a girl. But who knows maybe she was hitting on him and he was in the wrong place and the wrong time. Your statement just assumes he was doing something wrong or said something stupid. I have personally been to mexico and the locals are just looking for trouble. You have no facts to back what you said up making your statement competely idiotic.

When the people were murdered last year, I was in Cancun. We didn't even know about it until 2 weeks later when we came home, but the creepiest thing was on the way back to the aiport, our shuttle bus stopped at the hotel where the murder happened, and I was so fascinated with all the federal agent trucks in the parking lot that I took pictures. Never crossed my mind there was a murder.

My mom was having a hairy canary when I got home. I guess at that point the news had only revealed that two Canadians had been murdered. She was worrying like crazy.

Anyway, Mexico can be a sketchy place. You gotta be careful.

Wat i ment is that IF he had done something not acceptable to the female, the bouncer had the right to teach him, Not to kill him. But Mexico is not Canada, so maybe in Mexico to teach someone a lesson is to beat them. When you go to another country, you follow thier culture and rules, you dont continue following your home rules.

No one deserves to die. But you have to be careful when you are in another country. And not provoke the locals. You have to know that you are not invincible.

They assume that a security guard in the hotel did it (the double murder) but the mexican authorities are being very difficult in assisting the case at all.

Woodbridge people have bad luck in Mexico apparently. :(
