well customer cars are permitted again from next year, and yeah thats the speculation.
The way the cars are designed nowadays basically means if you buy a chassis you'd have to use the engine as well, they're a complete package, you can't just swap one out for another without a fairly decent redesign. |

Ahh cool, I didn't know that the whole "customer car" fiasco had been settled yet.
I dunno, I'll always love F1, but the petty bull drama is getting tiresome. I was watching the Porsche SuperCup race from Bahrain yesterday, and it was super exciting!
There just isn't the same degree of [Murray Walker] Hammer and tongs! [/Murray Walker] racing anymore.
Massa vs. Hamilton was good last week, for the few laps that it lasted. but that was really the only action all race! |

Christ almighty, the live timing from F1 keeps ing up so I just missed the last 10 or so laps and probably 10 laps over a few instances before that.
The bloody tv is showing the race on 90 mins delay (10:30 at night), but are already running 15 mins late with 1 program still to show.
And I just read that Webber's fuel filler flap is stuck up for the second time in 3 races:rolleyes: For s sake Red Bull, your cars aren't quick enough before you start sticking big in perpendicular surfaces on it
aaaaaaaaaaaand there we go, live timing ed up again:rolleyes: |

Yeah the timing has been annoying to say the least.
I'm watching on TV in Dutch, but I certainly don't speak any of it so I rely on the timing for little news tidbits.
I was thinking of hitting a British sports pub to watch but didn't bother.
Good race so far though. |

They've shown some good speed today though, DC drove a supreme race :eyes:
Great race again by Hamilton too, looks like we're in for a very tight championship battle  |

Pretty sweet race, the fist part was very exciting. Awesome work by Heidfeld, and finally some points for Kubica :)

yeah, and then he lost a piece of his car some laps later
On a side note, I feel bad for Coulthard, he had an great run |

Good race today!
Alonso, Kimi and Hamilton are all tied for 1st overall.
DC had a great drive! Good for him. He and the team deserve a good result. Heidfeld and Trulli also did well.
WTF was Davidson doing when his car lost the smoke?!?!? He drove for half a lap misting the circuit (and Hamilton) in oil and bits of engine internals. Stupid. Lose the smoke, PULL THE OVER!!!
Once again, Hamilton had fastest lap until Massa's in-lap for his 2nd pit stop. This kid is gonna be good... |

I didn't make it Scallywags because they were starting the race 30min late, so I had to watch an internet stream from China :(
Interesting race. I am so happy that BMW is doing well, ever since they came in with Williams, I have been rooting for them.
What was with Alanso and Kimi today? They both looked slow, or uncompetitive. I know Alanso complained about both under steer and over steer, so I guess he just set his car up wrong. He was soundly beaten by his team mate who had never seen the circuit, amazing!
I guess I really do have to give more credit to Massa...but I just dont like the guy! |

I think Massa caught a break when Hamilton's 2nd set of tires were obviously not working as well as his first. He dropped 3 seconds within a couple laps and only was catching back up at the end, when Massa was no doubt cruising a bit to preserve the motor for the next race.
Alonso was holding up Kimi and couldn't catch Heidfeld at the end. You could tell that he wasn't really givin'er this race when he was pretty slow into his pit box. He didn't attack it at all as if he was trying to save 1/10ths.
I'm surprised McLaren let Hamilton push as fast as he was at the end of the race. There was traces of blue smoke from his car all race, usually under heavy downshifts at the end of the front straight. Hopefully everything will be fine for next race. |

| I'm just happy my boys at Bimmer are doing well again. Last time anything they had a hand in was doing anything on this level was in 02&03 before Williams decided to use that retarded walrus nose and JPM left. I just hope Nick gets a couple podiums before the year is out. |
