How do you deal with your friends that hate EDM?

| I have a few select friends that like or love EDM along with me, but alot of the others think it's the most awful music they have ever heard and everytime I have it on, I always have to listen to them bitch about it in the process. I'm sure you guys have come across this problem as well. How do you deal with this? |

I only keep friends who have an open mind about everything including music. If you're a close minded then your not my friend anymore.
Its not to say they have to like EDM but at least respect people's different tastes. |

yo if there ur true friends u juss deal with it then they usually give up after a few months....
and u always take ur car cause its ur car and u listen to wat u want in ur car....straight up....
or u get them really in stoned and throw sum tiesto on and they'll start to like it....works for me.... |

easy. i dont talk to them.
as a result of me doing that over the past few years, all my current friends listen to EDM. life is so much better now. |

now that I think about it, the ones that bitch about it aren't really my friends, so much are as they are people I work with or roommates (people I didn't know moving in), but even still, dealing with anyone that you have to be around that likes to be vocal about how 'bad' your music is. |

Exactly. They do not have to like it to be a fried but it helps. As long as they're open minded and don't make stupid (serious) judgements on me or other friends of mine who are in the scene it's not a huge deal. |

Yep.
I'm actually glad half my friends have no interest in it. EDM isn't the be-all-end-all for me, and my OMGHOUSEMUSICISEVERYTHING friends wear thin on my patience after a while.
Really though, anyone who drones on and on about the same thing all time wears thin on my patience...it's not exclusive to taste in music. |

I have different groups of friends...
It's hard have friends that have the same interests, but as long as there open minded (don't have to enjoy it) as don't make and judgments about it, then there's not problem.
I actually have very few friends that listen to EDM...pretty much, my only friends that listen to EDM were made via TA and Facebook lol |
