When I was younger (19/20), I had a few credit cards and a lot of stuff in my name with an ex boyfriend because he had bad credit, so I just put everything in my name. After we broke up, I had a really tough time getting back on my feet emotionally and mentally because that relationship was horrible for me, so I was living at my dad’s house and just going to school part time and not working and sweeping my credit card bills under the rug and not asking my parents for help, thinking they would just go away. Bad bad decision, and I’m still paying the price for that immature behavior.

My dad wound up getting ahold of one of the bills, & paid it off for me before I got in that much e. Otherwise, I'd be in that same boat now (besides the whole boyfriend/relationship bit...I just spent it all myself).

$0 for me. Hoorah.

yep i read something similar. It also stated that the debt was not including homes/condos ect. This Serbian chick i work with even said she cant believe how many americans live in debt. She was like everything u americans buy is done by a bank loan or credit cards. Shes right.

hopefully when you're older, you'll still want to work hard for the same thing because you will never feel that satisfying feeling that the beautiful house you live in was paid for by your own hard earned money.

Well, really depends on the area. Huge houses, 3-5000 sq ft are going for 400k around here.

For the age group that frequents this site though?

A 1100 sq foot condo near the Wacker Lunch Box of Chicago is only 300k.....

My debt is dwindling:

School: 24,000
Mortgage (if it goes through):$175,000

Credit: No more
