The insulation of public information keeps the world from recognizing the Stalins of its time. In the year 2057, they may look back and see many of our politicians as well as those all around our current world as the "Stalins" of our time. |
In 2057 we(humans) won't be around. |

Why do you think that? |

Ok, just name one. I know they aren't as obvious as the original but still would like you to name at least one. |

Why do you think that? | b/c of waste of land and resources. Humans take too much out of the Earth w/o consideration for the land. Not that Im a tree hugger.
Also, the ruling elite has succeeded in what it wanted to do with the people. |

Because of the Stalins of the world you so deny the existence of? |

What is this "ruling elite?" What did they want to do with "the people?" |

The ruling elite are the ones who continue to succeed in where it matters, politics. I feel that the US is a bad state b/c too many times public officials get away with ruining the "average joes" life and at the same time they are giving their friends money and handing out welfare checks to lazy individuals. Its a continuing cycle of staying in power and passing it down to their children. Things won't change if people don't change. What the ruling elite wanted was too make people passive. If they are passive, no matter what they know over the government, the people won't rebel. And not only that. They will continue to strenghten their government and eventually in a slow process the government will own every aspect of the persons life. We are heading towards the way the USSR was but it is about doing it slowly not fast. That is why the USSR failed.
USSR did it too quickly instead of doing it slowly like the Western governments. |

I think this sort of class inequality and political corruption has always existed though.
I'm not even certain that people of this age are any more or less aware of its existence than people thousands of years ago who suffered under its restrictions as well.
Not sure if people as a whole ever really will change. Sure doesn't look like it... |
