My disdain for epic trance grew exponentially during this year; too many bad DJs overplaying that for my liking.
However, something I found even worse at the time was rap-rock: Limp Bizkit and all that crap. |

As much as i despised okenfold even back then(although he did try harder) Olive-You're Not Alone(okenfold mix)(1998) is one of the only tracks from bck then i still listen to pretty frequently. |

Yes, their other stuff is very different: poppy dance with absolutely ridiculous lyrics. Paradise is probably their only "proper" song. |

Some of the very commercial 'dance' was a bit chastised, stuff like DJ Jean - The Launch. It wasn't really a hating time to the same extent though. Not everyone was totally jaded for one. |
I loved that tune back in the day, and I still love it. The music that was hated on then was (and in some cases still is) gateway music. As much as we hate what's being shoved to the masses today, Sean Tyas is gateway music. |

Back in the day i was listening to those sorts of tracks id hear on the radio, daft punk, chemical brothers, vengaboys, ...aqua :p and sash! was awesome, very different and what not to alot of the normal radio stuff.. :nervous:

| Worthless thread.. there wasn't as many kids/wannabe dj's back then, therefore hate was non existant, for the most part. |
