Worthless thread.. there wasn't as many kids/wannabe dj's back then, therefore hate was non existant, for the most part.

add to that the internet wasnt as popular = no dumping ground for critisism

+ the inability to post hate threads/posts directed towards dj's/producers knowingly browsing the boards, in hopes of getting their useless opinion out there to make themselves feel better about not being succesfull

Catharsis is good. Just look how long it took the househeads to get accumulated hate out of their collective system. Detroit still has a long way to go, but they've at least begun the healing process. :p

why 1999?

No hate? Isn't there a famous scene in Human Traffic where they go on about how it isn't as good as back in the day?

Well if you were Ishkur, probably any successful dance music not made by the French. If you were in the trance scene, it was probably the likes of Alice Deejay.

the thing is, there were good remixes of those songs, signum & thrillseekers for alice deejay, airscape for vengaboys, it wasn't ALL hell. Maybe the first one to get big was when positiva added vocals to toca me which kinda annoyed a few.

As to what you've said about human traffic, i've not seen it, but I'm fairly sure the hating comes in generations. those who lived the earlier 90s as actual legal people, knowing more & being able to go see the djs probably did hate on it, but as someone who turned 18 in 99, and the only stuff i had from the past was livesets, cds and a couple of older frineds for guidance, i can't say for sure

Based on that, I pity the current generation who will consider Sean Tyas as best thing since sliced bread in 2015 when they reminisce the 'good old days'

I'll check it. It was on yesterday, and I taped it. Probably tomorrow.
