haha I remember I hated DJ Jean - The Launch. one of the worst dance tune ever to cross my path.
back then there were many commercial acts figuring on radio. Funny thing is that many of them were aliases of more "serious" trance producers. Alice Deejay for instance was a collaboration between Pronti & Kalmani and Danski & Delmundo, Secilia was a side project of Benno De Goeij, DJ Sakin & Friends was a side project of Torsten Stenzel, Fragma and Paffendorf were side projects of Ramon Zenker (Hardfloor).
I still must say that I loved 99. Seeing Chicane - Saltwater and Jam & Spoon - Stella 99 on MTV. Those were the days.

EDM is far more than just trance, although you sometimes wouldn't realise it reading TA.

Buzz Fuzz came around already in early-mid 90s producing hardcore and hardstyle which he's still producing today, unless you mean some other artist. Klubbheads and Gigi came around in 94-95. The rest are more of the late 90s acts. I liked Klubbheads a decade ago though, especially some mixes of Discohopping. :p
