Clemens isn't a savior but he's 3.3 trillion times better than Kei Icrapwa err I mean Igawa. Or Rasner. Or Karstens. I would be ecstatic if Clemens provided 5 more wins to the team vs. the guy he's replacing. That could easily be the difference in making the playoffs or not. Secondly, that's a guy you'd want pitching in a game 7 vs. Kevin Brown or Javier Vasquez whom the Yanks ran out there against the Red Sux in 2004. That's his biggest value. There is risk with his age of course but obviously money isn't something the Yanks are too concerned about.
Wang, Clemens, Pettitte, Moose, Hughes. I'm feeling that June rotation. |

exactly. If that rotation can stay healthy, it'll easily be good enough to get the Yankees into contention at the very least. |

Things have suddenly gone from bad to worse for the Blue Jays
First losing BJ Ryan to TJ surgery, and now Roy Halladay has appendicitis and will miss 4-6 weeks |

| yes baseball needs to clean up their steroids mess, but i believe there is a bigger mess in baseball right now, and that's the Tommy John surgery epidemic. a lot of good pitchers have had to to get this. if you throw a hard fastball, and that's the only pitch you have, history will say you won't last 2 years in the mlb before having tommy john or any other type of elbow/shoulder ailment surgery that will put you out for at least 6 months. |

I don't give a what all you whiners have to say, but this RIGHT HERE is going to turn the Yankees' season around. |
well goddamn! Third week of May and 11 games out. This team just isn't worth of comparisons to the 1978 Yankees. I don't see much of a wild card run either but you never know. I officially do not expect the Yankees to make the post season as of this weekend. |

really?
hmm, maybe if another team in the AL East was actually doing anything besides the sox, but they're not..... 2-5 in the East is a crapshoot! |

so the hottest MLB rivalry right now to join along the yankees - red sox, dodgers - giants, cubs - cardinals is the
phillies - marlins rivalry?! :wtf: |
