Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona is bigger.
Yankees Suck. |

I HATE this argument. Their 26 titles has NOTHING to do with 2007. Just like the Cardinals 10 titles has NOTHING to do with 2007. What you're saying is that the Yankees can never be 'bad' because they have 26 titles in the past. Which makes no sense...
In anycase, I still the the Yankees are a great team this year and will probably make the play-offs. |

no, they're saying that, as a franchise, they have proven to be more successful. As fans, most people root for a franchise--a team from year-to-year. They do not change allegiances each year, and argue over who's made the best selection for the team to root for this year. Thus, they're saying that the team they root for is superior overall.
p.s. I don't like either team, but claiming the Yankees suck is a far weaker argument than the rebuttal to which you're taking offense. |

well the dude that said "yankees suck" didnt say "the 2007 yankess suck" he made it seem like the yankees are just overall, always have been. i'm sure they can be bad, but up till this point they have been anything but bad. |

Torii Hunter could be suspended 3 years for giving champagne to Mike Sweeney
If I remember correctly, Sweeney didn't have much to do with the Royals sweeping the Tigers at the end of last season, which allowed the Twins to win the AL Central. |

true. i'm just saying, at the current moment, they don't look so good. their pitching health has been an issue. if they had their complete A-team i think yankees would've gotten 2 of the games at least up in boston. throwing two unproven guys right into the mix at fenway is tough. the yankees weren't exactly blown out in any of those games. once wang gets another start or two in, and they get moose back, they should be good. pavano, forget about him.
let's go mets. |
