well if AJ Burnett can come back healthy in September and BJ Ryan makes a miraculous recovery, and returns, then the Jays look pretty good in the pitching side.
as for batting, is it just me, or is Alex Rios' sudden power surge look suspicious ? :conf: |

| the Jays have been grooming Rios for awhile now though so I'm not surprised that he's putting up good numbers. If he is cheating, he'll get caught eventually. |

true. i get suspicious of players who never hit more than 15 homers a year all of a sudden have 25+ home runs (a.k.a. bret boone). but i can't deny rios being a good player. his stats are pretty nice across the board. |

I must be living under a rock, but since when are the D'backs and Cubs good????
I can't believe they're in the top of the Wild Card right now...
that just proves the NL is e...
you're telling me, that stoner Eric Byrnes and Brandon Webb make that team a playoff contendor...??? That's crazy! Its hilarious, the team is terrible on paper.... unreal.... and no UNIT... I don't know, it boggles my mind...
I was just shocked to see them at the top of the WC... I thought for sure they'd be way below the Phillies.... |

They have a very young, very good team. They'll be great for a long time. |

no that proves the NL is much more equal than the AL.

| so you're telling me that if you put together a bracket matchup, and have an NL vs AL type of bracketology, with [Boston, New York Yankees, Cleveland, Detroit, Seattle, and Anaheim] vs [New York Mets, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, and Arizona Diamondbacks], the NL would win that one? that's kinda iffy? the NL has some good teams, but the AL would stomp them. |

where did I say that the NL is better than the AL???
I just said the teams in the NL are much more equal and so the pennant races are much closer and more interesting. |
