You can't really compare music scenes but SF is pretty diverse..lots of crews with their own agendas that people get too caught up in ..tons of undergrounds here but people tend to get closed off to just SF rather than seeing whats going in the rest of the world with music BUT it is getting better here...
No matter if its trance..house or breaks DJ..no subsititute for a proper warm up set...I have heard people bang it out in LA which baffles me ...even when our very own progressive pioneer Jerry Bonham used to open for PVD here in SF ..he played what I would call a proper opening set..
BTW, props to Hac Le as he was out here recently in SF(we bring him out a lot) and destroyed the End-up with his skillz..
