It's rare that it works so well for them - because honestly, I usually hate it when producers play sets of entirely their own productions. |

| I think its because their songs have individual dynamic, I mean, they are not starting from the same template for every song and just rearranging the notes and changing certain sounds - which seems to be what some (if not many) producers do. |

| I really hate when I go to a Depeche Mode concert and they play their own stuff. I cross my fingers and hope to God they play "Pour Some Sugar on Me" or even "Every Rose has its Thorn". Martin Gore would KILL IT!!!!!! |

I really don't think the same logic that applies to bands applies to EDM producers who wish they were DJ's. or vice versa.
I take it you've never heard an Andy Moor set? |
