On top of this, I have been on the dallas club scene for around 5 years, in addtion to being good friends with several top promoters in dallas, I am also close to several owners of bars, clubs, and lounges here in Dallas. In the past and even recent past I have spent large amounts of money on bottle service, table reservations, and VIP at very wide range of nightlife places in Dallas. Me and my friends have been treated with the utmost respect at everyplace we go to in Dallas from obar to wish to clear to eden to a multitude of other top dallas nightlife spots from the past and present. Me and my friends are very generous, respectful, and never cause any problems for anyone. However on multiple occasions at the lizard lounge during a headliner show, we have been treated extremely poorly, disrespectfully, and even threatened by promotors and others who run these shows at the lizard lounge, for absolutely no good reason. We never did anything illegal, no fighting, no being shady, absolutely nothing out of line, but just because they may not have known who we were, or assumed we didn't have money because we didn't get super dressed up just to go to the lounge, that we were nobodies they could push us around, talk to us, and threaten us for no good reason. If one of you owned the lizard lounge is this how you would want you staff treating anyone, especially people who are regulars for big shows and routinely pay huge bar tabs. If I ever knew one of my employees was treating a valuable customer poorly, I wouldn't be able to fire him fast enough.

Now I do have a great deal of respect for the lizard lounge because they have been around so long, and have always made an effort to be one of the leading EDM venues in Dallas. But the lizard lounge is just too old, too small, doesnt have a great layout, and just doesn't have a good enough sound system or lights. I think almost everyone these days is like well I guess im gonna have to go to the lizard lounge if I wanna see my favorite dj, sigh... The only worse place to have and event has been at seven, the armin and digweed shows there were nightmares. Seven was great place to go to on a normal night for years, but trying to have Digweed or Armin play there was absolutely comical. If whoever was in charge of those shows didn't get fired on the spot they must have been sleeping with someone in a very powerful postion.

It just totally escapes me that with the growing EDM scene in Dallas that these shows could be moved to much better venues like outdoors(although not cancelled by mild 50degree weather) blue or karma or even somewhere like Cowboys in Arlington where you could easily fit all the people you could ever want inside comfortably. Or you would think at least someone build a new club that could cater to the EDM scene here as well as the out of town headliners.

I hate to write a post like this because I am usually a very positive person and very understanding of peoples mistakes. I am writing this not to release some of my own anger about last night and other shows, because as much as I like EDM and enjoy hearing top dj's, I have seen so many shows in my life that a handful of very poorly ran shows and disrrespect from employees is not really all that big of deal to me in my scheme of life. But what really uspets me is that so many people look forward to these shows for months, pay top dollar ticket prices, many travel hundreds of miles, take off work, miss school or make other sacrificies to see their heroes, and have misserable expreriences. Just ask sharper about seven, any one who went to bennasi on new years, anyone who was there last night, or countless othere people who had similiar experiences at other shows at the lounge or seven.

Uh for knowing it all about partying in Dallas you'd realize that there are a LIMITED number of places that will even accept certain types of crowds not to mention how late they are open and where they are located... If one were to have a Dj at Karma or Blue ppl start bitching because those places close at 2am... so how do you please all these ppl with their never ending needs? As for building a new club... no one can build clubs in dallas specifically for EDM it never lasts and eventually new crowds take over those clubs(ask ur owner friends I know them as well)... the scene rt now is Ultra lounge so we have to suck it up for the time being... as for ty employees yeah some ppl suck but you have to take it up the butt...I've been crapped on by workers at clubs... complain maybe they'll get fired... I bitch about going to the LL too but I have to realize the limiations that these promoters are faced with and make the most of my night and just enjoy the dj... I've been in ty situations (Tiesto last may at blue was sooooo packed) I was getting pissed not being able to move but then I realized that this was Tiesto and I threw back some drinks and dealt with the crowd and made the most of the night and I ended up having fun... As for partying in Dallas you can't compare Wish and Clear to the dance clubs for EDM dj's... they fit a certain type of crowd... I party alllll the time in dallas and if you'd realize it... partying in dallas is not the same as going to a dj show... we live in dallas it will never be a NY or Miami... its good that everyone is voicing their opinion, its the only way to bring change but geez ppl do it with grace plz... and do take advantage of the PRE-SALE TICKETS!!! there is a reason they are available and cheaper!!! anyway I will be enjoying Gabriel & Dresden I hope you all can get over yourselves and last weekend and come out for the MUSIC!

wow :wtf:

worst decision evar.

in any case, Royal Exception doesn't need to go anywhere. God forbid that someone could actually post anything relating to situations realistically or with any thought that has any relation to something reasonable, rather than just saying "this sucks," "he kicked ass," "this was the worst _____ ever" or something else.

Holy I didn't even have to *fix* that one !!

Hahaha my god RE..... mw 17 seems like such a credible character. If I was an owner of lizard lounge n I found out u were being treated in that manner then some ape walks out of his cage and gets online onto trance addict and bashes your dissatisfaction online... I would fire that rude employee(s) then have that ashy assed mammal euthanized for your pleasure.

As for RE... getcho cookie monster visor wearin ass back in your cage !!! Hahah jk. U promoting 4 full access or smthn ?!

My aren't we a critic when it comes to other's choice in music? Yet here we all sit in a tiny genre of music for the US. *wink*

Once word got out about the Kitchen Sessions, I think the traffice on TA tripled. We're huge in Bolivia.
foosh
I noticed one track was conspicuously absent from Armin's setlist above:

Lange v. Gareth Emery - Another you another me (Terranova + Austin Leeds Mix)

This track rocks, though I think I like the original mix better.
