It is not possible to be an Atheist.
Even the smartest men in the world believe there is a possibility that a greater being exists
Things are too perfect for it to have happened by chance, however great that chance was.
- We use less than 15% of our brain
- we don't even know our own earth and are constantly learning more about it everyday
- we are just specs in this magnificent place we call our Universe ..maybe even a Multiverse
To say with absolute certainty that GOD doesn't exist makes you the all knowing..the smartest being to ever exist.
Just because you don't know Jason Marval, doesn't mean he doesn't exist.
1) You've never met him
2) You're not looking to meet him
3) You just don't care
This is an example of a hypothetical person (being) who might exist in this world...on this earth, and that's that we're just a mere 6 billion people.
For someone to say that he doesn't exist, is not only arrogant, but means you've met and know all people on this earth and can therefore say that he doesn't exist.
Are you even able to rule out that other life forms don't exist in our universe?
Now with that being said, can you really say that GOD doesn't exist with all certainty?
The answer is YOU DON't KNOW. Admitting that, leaves room for possibility and therefore ruling out Atheism.
I'm not religious by any means, but it doesn't mean I don't believe in GOD, a god or some higher being.
Religion and believing in GOD are 2 different things.
Being human, we need things to have explanations, and be logical so that our brain's can make sense of it.
Believing and knowing GOD has nothing to do with the brain.... think with your heart. |

that may not be accurate % wise. But it IS FACT that no human uses his brain to full capacity, whatever the % is.
Perfect example of the brain's need to have something Make Sense.
The goal wasn't to give you a precise figure, but to give you an example. |

LOL...
dude where are you pulling these facts from?
this was a myth that was started in the early 80's by a couple of authors (look it up) the only fact remains, we use a 100% of our brain, period.
if you had any understanding of the human brain, and how it functions, you'd know it's impossible to suggest what you're saying. |

No he doesn't. Cult in it's purest form. Look it up if you need to.

To be honest, I don't know about the brain.
I'm not a brain surgeon or neurologist nor have I claimed to be. Never studied it and probably never will.
Thought I would use it to prove a point (to be honest, I thought it was true. Never researched that)... but if it OFFENDS you so much would it be better that I use a different example? Something PROVEN?
Meh, a tactic commonly used by individuals in these types of discussions to 'write off' stuff.
One thing is wrong...therefore all things said are wrong. |

Yes it is. It's an unfounded belief. I can believe I'm God, and it's quite possible for me to believe that.

Dumbest people believe that a higher being exists also, that doesn't mean .

No one is saying it with absolute certainty. They believe it with absolute certainty. They may be wrong, but they believe they're right.

Very true, but Atheism is a belief, not a fact. No one proved atheism.

What? Other beings != God. It's very possible to believe there are other lifeforms without believing God exists. God is not a lifeform.

Hahahha, absence of evidence is not evidence of contrary. If I can't prove God doesn't exist, that doesn't prove he exists.
Basically, somewhere along the way, you started to mix up beliefs and facts. |

much better analysis...much of what you say also makes sense.
I guess the question was Do you BELIEVE...
nothing wrong with stimulating people's minds by offering them another point of view that they may not have otherwise thought of.
I guess my point is, if we barely know about ourselves or what's directly in front/around us. How can we know what's truly out there? |
