bash z103.5 all you want.. but the fact is, it's getting alot of previously closed-minded EDM haters into the genre. |
all those people! I know that me and all my friends listen to this music because we want to, and not because we heard it on the radio. |

Some people just need a helping hand though. |

Fair enough, but most of these people won't take the time to actually seek out the tracks that are played in the clubs.
They'll keep on asking to hear "Put Your Hands Up for Detroit" and "This is Not Miami" and be terrified of Comfort Zone. |

ChemEnhanced is bang on with everything that he has said in this thread.
The amount of people that have disputed what he has said just goes to show the volume of ignorance that is present in the Toronto scene. Too many people really have no clue as to what's happening globally in terms of progression and trends in EDM. |

I would say that techno is going to be just as popular as house in the very near future. It's already starting to gain huge ground globally. Although, the type of techno that I think you will hear reach the main stream will be alot more on the melodic/progressive side and some may even say it will sound like techno-infused house. |

That depends whether you accept that whatever is happening in Europe should be the acceptable global trend. |

Based on the scene in Europe, the variety in Europe, the sheer volume of producers and DJ's coming out of Europe, the quality of clubs in Europe, the quality of parties in Europe....
I think it would be a safe to accept that Europe is where it's at. Anyone who has been to Europe and partied there will attest to this. |

But we're not in Europe... We're in North America. More specifically Toronto, and I ain't complaining. |
