This trend has already been happening for years on end. Electronic music as a whole has changed significantly and it will continue to evolve, grow and change as the years pass. Trance at the present is completely different from what it was within the last decade. IMO the Trance genre truly peaked from 1997-2002. That old hypnotic, uplifting, melodic trancey sound is no longer alive. Alot of those old sounds have now changed and dispersed into other genres such as Progressive & Psy Trance. As with all Eletronic music we seek to find a new sound that sets us apart from the rest of the pack and thus leading to the creation of new genres... such as the very present fad: Electro House. In order for us to aid in our creation, cross-mixing certain genres together will allow you to develop hybrids. |
