I totally agree.
I would say no because all I get at the rippers is blue balls and an empty wallet.
I don't mind going once in a while, but seriously...if this is your after work hangout you need a life. Besides (and I can't believe I'm going to say this)all the rippers does to a growing boys' mind is create unrealistic ideals of the female body, so you can't date anybody but the 'it' girl, the others don't get you off.
It's like someone who learned about sex from watching porn. Believe it or not, not all women like to be throat-ed until they cry.

You are surrounded by those you surround yourself with.
I'm not saying that I didn't know a few degenerates that at 20 years old still tortured little animals, and one genuine psychopath, but who you choose to associate with is your business. If you're stuck in a fireteam with an , that sucks, but at the mess we're just that - fireteam partners, not friends. I'll trust you to cover my ass and you trust me not to plug you in the back of the head. That's how it works. When the weapons are in bed and it's drinking time, I choose who I associate with.

People who join the military are just like everyday people you meet on the streets. Some are good, some are bad. Just like the rest of the society.
Just because they wear an uniform, that does not mean they all fit some sort of stereotype of a soldier.
