Well, the name says it's Electronic Dance Music. What would you think?

EDM has no boundries because you can hear every single major genre outside of EDM sucked into it. From the Rock and EDM fusion by Evil Nine and Gabriel & Dresden tracks of 02 and 03 to the Classical instrument usage by Silicone Soul. Hip Hop and Jazz samples in House music. Turn on the radio and you have EDM sounds infused into today's Hip Hop. EDM has no boundries...3 words "Electronic Dance Music" doesnt limit it. Just like 2 words dont limit Hip Hop.

a good minimal tune from the likes of len faki is awsome. but it annoys me how lots of dj's known for trance are jumping on the bandwagon. starting a set with 1 minimal tune and then jumping straight for the trance in their second track. 'the minimal tune will make me sound alternative' routine. in idiots!

like when tiesto plays Marc Houle - bay of figs or when Reinhard Voigt Supertiel is onthe nyana cd. its only music...:)

This is a bad way of thinking, in my opinion. Just because we as the general listeners know them because of a specific genre they spin doesn't mean that they can't play what they enjoy. They are human too and one day may wake up and say, "I wanna play some deep house in my set tonight because there are some great tracks out there that I really like."

Stop building a wall around everything you do and you may not end up so dissapointed with very small things in life, like whether your favorite known trance dj dropped a minimal track in their set.

You know it's a fad when even Tiesto had a go at some 'minimal' on his new album.

Like all trendy genres of this nature, it should fade away in another year, two tops. By then, most everyone will have tired of 'playing with their laptops'.

LOL Everyone will get tired of watching DJs check their email. I can't stand minimal.
