| i listen to music. i have no time to get into details of subgenres...it is fairly subjective i think. |

I fail to see how explaining that Gui Boratto is not minimal means minimal doesn't exist. :conf: There have been plenty of good examples in this thread. |

right. i implied fairly... one track may sound house-y to me and it may sound pop-ish to another. i've seen countless posts on here debating about tracks and subgenres and it just seems like a headache. |

The only good minimal i know of is steve reich (ok ...and maybe john adams and philip glass when i am in a groovy mood!). Different trains, electric counterpoint, tehilim, music for 18 musicians are all great!

The rest is trash/. Ok...maybe some old basic channel stuff are also cool. The clicks and glitch and the majority of current minimal are a bunch of plain terrible brainless, soulless, purposeless, musicless (i don't think that such a word exists)pretentious knob twisting and messing non-sense sequences of noises . Pure garbage. |

And i clearly said i like the way Gui Borrato does minimal, didnt say that hes the benchmark of Minimal music. But the minimal elements he incorporates is good, which is what seperates him along with the rest of the artists I named from the avg producer.

Do me a favor Go back to Page 2 and see where I specifically said I like some of the minimal that :list of artists: make. Find me a single artist in my list that doesnt have a minimal track. And Where did I say Gui Borrato is solely teh L33t Minimal producer. Your reading comprehension blows balls. But Thanks for showing me the light that I dont know about EDM. ehh maybe, im not a dick i addmit when i make a mistake but its beyond me why you would mention boratto. An i am DEFINATELY not an elitist, trust me. |
