i think it's fair to say that classics, as well as peoples mothers, shouldn't be ing touched by trance gimps

^You're joking, right? There are quite good remixes of it by Huntemann and Audion.

someone mentioned it in the thread about the tune.. and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest tbh. i'm assuming it's another 'domino' job

lol i dont really understand that point of view. i think that you're very narrow minded if you think that classics shouldnt be touched. if they were good enough to ever be considered a classic then why not update them every so often and freshen them up? its as if you consider these tunes sacred. no offense but thats pathetic. sure they occupy a special place in your heart and might be somewhat nostalgic for you or whatever but that doesnt give you the right to declare that "they cant be touched". whats so special about you that you get to make that decision? get over youself, get over people remixing classics and stop moaning.

classics can be touched...as long as its a good touch

but come on mike...you know this remix is awful :p

Totally agree. In most genres making covers and interpretations of existing works is embraced and totally normal. I'm absolutely not saying one can't have opinions about specific remakes, but saying there is something wrong with working with material previously written by someone else is just silly.

They don't remix Stairway To Heaven every couple of years, do they?

They are classics because they are good enough as they are. They do not need any remakes.

I'm sure his opinion might change if every 2007 rework, re-hash, re-version wasn't complete ing and a total disgrace to the originals.

I mean, the list could go on for pages now of horrible examples of this. Its just guys re-hashing old material so it sounds fresh to n00bs. Heres an idea, why not just PLAY SOME OLD TRACKS now and then...
