Creepy or romantic?

Ok so I think today I received the most random “blast from the past” message on myspace.
When I was living in Japan in high school I volunteered at the hospital for my community service hours and there was this cutie who worked there and used to flirt with me. He was in the navy and going to med school so he was like a doctor assistant or something. He was like 24 or 25 and I was 17, which is kind of creepy now that I think about it lol.
Anyway, we never dated or hooked up, but I do remember this one time I was really sick with the flu and my dad was out of town so I was home alone. He called me at night and insisted on coming over and I kept telling him no because I was sick but he was practically begging me and said he only needed to stay for a minute so I finally said ok. I remembered feeling kind of nervous for him to come over because I thought it was strange how desperate he sounded to see me.
Well he came over that night with a Japanese Cup-of-Noodle and some stupid flowers that he picked out of the ground and said he just wanted to see me so bad and had been thinking of me the whole night (he was teaching English to Japanese students). I’ll never forget it as long as I live. It was weird, I remember he was like SO happy that I agreed to let him come over and I remember him giving me a really long, tight hug, like he was dying inside or something. It was a little too intense for me at the time, but looking back it was probably one of the most romantic, random things anyone has ever done for me. It was totally something out of a movie scene.
I think the reason why he did that and felt that way was because prior to that night he had confided in me about his dad dying when he was little. He felt responsible or something because he was only a kid and he was playing in the other room while his dad had a heart attack or some . I think he watched his dad die. It was crazy, I forget the details of the story but he started crying when he was talking about it. I think I was the only person he ever told that to (about feeling guilty) and I didn’t know what to do, it was so awkward for me, so I just hugged him really tight for a couple of minutes and comforted him. And then he later explained to me that he thought it was so amazing how I just hugged him, but I didn't really think it was a big deal. What else was I supposed to do, just sit there and watch a grown man cry?
Those are the only 2 times I ever really saw him outside of the hospital. I don’t remember if he moved away from Japan first, or if I did. I don’t ever remember officially saying “goodbye” to him either. I just remember those two incidents and flirting with him at the hospital.
He messged me and was like, “OMG!!! U’ve grown up so much you’re so beautiful bla bla bla I tried o contact you so many times”
I'm torn between this being sweet and creepy. What do you guys think?
cor version: some guy when i was in high school was probably borderline obsessed with me, but in an innocent way, and now (7 years later) he contacted me on myspace. |

I think this could easily go either way, however: I am leaning towards the creepy side. Seems like he's done his work to track you down, so you have to wonder.

i wrote him back and said hi and i was just like, "wow it's been forever how are u, etc.."
his profile has like no info on it. it's like he just signed up to view profiles. |
