| i'm not a runner, but i think (as someone has mentioned before) that an ipod or some mp3 player would definitely help the running experience! |

Eh, I used to run with my ipod but it got tiring. I got annoyed of holding it (yes, I know there are little arm pouches) and I got annoyed by the cords from the head phones getting in the way. I got to the point where I much prefer running without them, just hearing good ol' nature and cars and Mexican men showering themselves so loud that you hear it in the street since they leave their windows wide open and love to blare salsa music.
Yep, I'm old timey! |

Same here, I can't stand earphones when I'm running, plus cords are annoying as well. |

| I usually run in the dark. I'm a vampire and cold sweat is awesome >_>. My motivation for running in the dark is not running in the blazing sun. |

My brother has a website called RunningAhead.com, and it allows users to track their performance in a log. Check out a sample log here: http://runningahead.com/logs/259c56...512f715ed2ff6c7
His site has the best features available for a running log and everything is free and free of ads. You'll find many experienced runners and some very hardcore runners (2000 mile club :o) willing to offer advice. Many people have cited running logs as a great motivational source. Great site for anyone serious about training so check it out! |

just start doing it. running is like crack. after the first couple weeks, you really just start feeling good and you really start feeling a need to go run. it's really self-supporting.
ever heard of the 'runner's high'? |
