Good stuff! I think he was referencing Cristine (Tyas 69) as well regarding the long drive. She drove up from LA. :eyes: |
ya.. I think so too. Direct and some of the other TA's were invited back to Seans hotel afterwards. I did also mention to Sean that Direct came from fresno as well, and so did his friends too...
Also, I mentioned that there were several others that came from Sacramento and other places around northern california that were super long drives..
The booth issue really isnt tha bad of an issue. I know everyone wants to be up there sometimes... especially when their favorite djs are up there. But along side this there are rules that need to be set down, ensuring that the headliners or djs that are up there have ample space to move around and socialize. If there are too many people up there it complicate things... We also want those headliners and major artist to come back.
I can remember years back... and Dave was up there. NO ONE was in there. Maybe I would go in there a couple times a night, but man, I would get kicked out every,... single time. being on the other side of things now, I realize its not to be an to everyone, but a sign of respect for the Dj who is there... |

Sometimes DJs or their management want no one around them to distract them. Can either be they just don't like it, aren't feeling too well and just want to be able to focus on their gig, or many other reasons.
In these cases sometimes the promoter's staff can come on stage/in the booth, and sometimes not.
Anyhow, in the future so people cannot cry about anything I will just do what Taj does. No wristbands, no entry. Don't like it, find someone to give you a wristband.
Sat night just proved me that the mentality of today's crowd are different than it was five years ago. Five years ago you didn't need wristbands and were able to keep control of the booth at Ten15. Hell, there was rarely a need to even worry about keeping control. Even on the most massive nights in the club.
