Instead of following, why don't you try saying somethin' smart for once and learn to stand up on your own.
If people fail to see the connection between Productivity and weather conditions, than all of you should consider going back to school.

My point is then supported by this valid documentation on how China's economic and productivity boost was weather related in some aspects. If you're still unconvinced, think about it this way. Most highly-productive, first world nations have air conditioners everywhere. Why? because if they didn't, employees would complain and believe me you wouldn't perform just as good as you would if you're working space had an A/C. |
It appears to me that the paper talks about the effects of weather and temperature on crop growth rather than the comfort level of humans, as you claim. The paper claims that productivity has improved because of the 4 reform factors which don't seem to have a relation to human comfort level in hot weather.
In my opinion, most first world countries have air conditioning simply because most they have very harsh winter. In many countries, the winter weather exists for more than 7-8 months. This makes it necessary to design thermally sealed houses/work places so that people can survive the severe cold. As a result, these complexes also need better ventilation systems and since the system already exists, most also have air conditioning for summer. Air conditioning may have a limited relation to productivity levels in summer, but you must understand that for most of the year, many European countries, Canada and parts of USA are very cold. |

and not to be little miss grammar, but if you're going to accuse people of being stupid and say they should go back to school, you should at least learn the proper use and placement of the words "than" and "then".
i mean no offense diggerz, but c'mon:p |

i would say that not being hot and sweaty is nice, and you can be productive that way.
but i would also say that some of the most productive people restaurant cooks, construction workers, et al are hot and sweaty and get by just fine.
i dont think that having the AC on immediately makes you more productive| |

Are you ing serious? Europeans have nothing to be jealous of. :stongue: 19th century. :haha: :haha: Who still has the death penalty? What country runs around screaming about the importance of Freedom whilst running an illegal detention center on a communist island in the carribean? We spend more than 8 times on defense than we do on our kid's ing education. 1 in 37 Americans have been incarcerated, thats the highest rate of any country in the world. We're one of the most backwards industrialized nations on earth, but yeah, AIR CONDITIONING! wewt! |

Having lived over there and over here, it really just pisses me off to see some self righteous American sit around claiming everyone else is jealous, because we're so ing ahead, when really, we're failing on ALL fronts. |
