Oakenfold hasn't been able to mix for years, why the is everyone surprised? :stongue:
He was horrid at Coachella last year. Some good tracks but jesus he just cannot mix. Not even just beatmatching but his phrasing is all out of whack.. |

Great times, saw alot of old friends. Great venue setup{besides having to walk up and down those stairs) and it seemed like most of the stages where packed. Arived at 8:30 tix where 65 at door and it took about 30min to get into the venue.
`Wasnt a fan of above and beyond that night. Like oakenfold tracks but laugh everytime he ed up, but hey he still got the crowd going lmao. |

Jesus... I don't even know where to begin!
Let's see... I enter the place around 6 with a few buddies of mine. Few coaster rides... then buy some Monsters and head for Nicholas. NICE set, and very energetic, wasn't even rolling yet and made me move a lot!
Hm, so we stay there, Desyn comes on. Nothing special, was quiet disappointing, more mellow than I expected.
My hook up for the "party favors" ended up bailing :mad: I had to search for a looong time to finally get some . My group lost each other.
Oh and before I forget, what up Rizo! Nice meeting ya, along with Hadi ****** (right?) :D
So... I get mad that I'm missing part of J00F (I think at that time I was searching for goods) and even Oakie, so got to see none of those at their beginning. I caught just a bit of Paul's set, I liked the tracklist and many people had positive reviews for him (could care less about the mixing I guess).

I don't know what I can say, but I was BLOWN AWAY!!!!!! I think he made me peak a lot faster than I was supposed to LOL. It was amazing!
After he's done, I try and go see last hour of Deep Dish (shame I couldn't catch all of it, heard they had a great start). Pretty ing packed! By this time I'm rollin balls, and then meet up with a friend's friend. The moment he began giving me a lightshow... I was floored. I was not to stand up for a while afterwards... He wouldn't stop, and then his gf joins in, and then some people lie next to me to catch it too! Unbelievable... I was mind ed beyond belief.
As great as that was, I got mad when I realized I missed the PATT song! I mean... I heard it! But I didn't groove to it! I was looking forward to it :whip:
Um, I forgot what happens next lol. I know I finally was able to regroup with my buddies and we all went to catch some Infected Mushroom. That was sweet!! First time seeing them of course (pretty much as all these DJs at EDC) :D Very impressed.
Ok, I don't know what happens here. I know I was going to main stage for Hernan, but didn't end up staying there the whole time for his set. I CAUGHT "ENJOY THE SILENCE" TRACK!! ing SICK!!! I loved it!!
I end up chilling back at CircuitGrounds a bit and make sure everyone sticks together. Well obviously that doesn't happen, so whatever, load on water, and wait til 2:30 for A&B.
The time comes... and I run my ass to the main floor!! My friend probably had a bad pill (said his roll didn't last) and kept getting tired so he was bitching a lot and wanted to rest a lot, I was like " that!"... I move on to the front of the crowd as much as I can for A&B!
Recognized almost every track they played (or so I think). Sang along to em too :) Went nuts. Did rest a bit at one point. Then Alone Tonight came on, I rushed back in! :crazy: Met a TA during the whole process (at A&B set) lol forgot who >_<
And I believe the lights all went on, and sound cut off momentarily, and then "Home" (some remix?) came on, and hard! That was sweet!
And then it all ended, hah, . I was pretty ing exhausted though by then and not rolling as hard (wish I was able to find 2 and not just 1).
Me and group try to head to Sublevel (afterparty) but it got closed down lol. Went to Jack In The Box. Drove to the beach and smoked a few bowls. Found a few group of ravers coming to Venice from EDC as well! Was really fun, stayed there for quiet a while and just relaxed! God that felt good! The beach was an idea we tried doing for quiet a while, but never could/did. Goal accomplished.
Yep, that's about all I can remember. Will include more if anything haha.
P.S. I was wearing all white (white muscle shirt, cargo pants, white sneakers), a bit crazy hair (from a stupid hair gel I shouldn't have bought:mad: ) glowing mouth piece, and my glowing earrings! So if you saw the person described, it was me :D
P.S. 2 - I keep hearing music, everything around me makes some kind of beat, it's fascinating. I wish I could reverse time!! |

| hah dude speaking of rolling balls, i was ed up on pures the whole night. i was listening to desyn while it hit me and i was properly floored. the most amazing music ever. took 2 small gel caps of crushed molly wafers spaced about 2hrs apart and then sniffed another tiny bump a little later and i was ed. definitely the hardest i've ever rolled in my entire life. i really loved the way the stages were set up with the bright flashing lights and the lasers, it made it so much more intense. my friend took one whole pure and he was out of his mind. pures are the ! |

John B is "Electrostep" so its mostly electro with DnB influences, some DnB and some Electro House.
