Not really... remember that was the minimum price for a ticket... I paid 55 for mine and I know lots of people probably paid 60+ and all the VIP tixs that got sold too.

I'm sure Insomniac made a tidy little profit off the event.

I'm amazed at how many people felt energy in Hernan's set and loved it. I just can't get how people got that. The beat was there and consistent... but musically it bored me. I can't get over it. I'm upset I missed Above & Beyond's set though... and J00F... but that's what I planned out I guess.

An official headcount from Insomniac?

I'd estimate around 30,000 (maybe more maybe less). I doubt it was 40,000. You never know though, it seemed like most areas were packed full of people the entire night so it makes it hard to estimate.

I highly doubt they will release an exact estimate. I've seen the coliseum full (96000 IIRC) during football games and this was no where NEAR as packed as it is for the football games.

Also if you guys are trying to estimate how much money they made dont forget to factor in how much money people spend on water and food (it was a LONG event) and then take out for all the DJs, security, equipment, etc. Me and a friend were trying to figure out and they probably pulled a very, very large profit. They always do, and thats why they're generally better each massive.

Well, at football games, people are not shoulder to shoulder on the field, so that is a tough comparison.

I would say 20-25k would be safe. And as for breaking even...I think not, that was a huge and expensive party, Insomniac knows how to through a party, they have not been doing this for nearly 15 years breaking even. Pasquale made some cash most definatly

100 dollars says there was at least 30k people, someone just told me there was around 40k

can't believe I didn't catch Hernan (barely, not even half)

I WANT TO TURN BACK TIME SOOOO BAD!! :eyespop:

I think it was A&B that played a SICK remix of Bedrock - Heaven Scent in the main area (coliseum)... anyone know what remix that was??

Man I'm so glad I sprung for VIP... longest time I waited for a drink was maybe 2 minutes; I stood in line to get in EDC for maybe 20 seconds. Overall the vibe was great. Good fun and sooooo much better that the NOS event center. Staff was quite friendly too. Wasn't too impressed with the 30 minutes or so I heard from Desyn (part of the beginning and ending). I did find myself spend a surprising amount of time in the house section. JOOF and IM rocked as usual.

I hate you. You gave me a leg cramp! Bastich! :whip:

Great meeting CrazedOut, Hadi Burpe, Rukes, Fei-Fei and seeing Mecca. Also Direct sucks, cause I didn't know he was going to EDC :whip:

I haven't got home yet and its the first time being online in 3 days so going through a ton of inbetween work (came straight from SFO to work) but I'll write a bit more when I get home while going/uploading my photos for this past weekend (Ferry in SF, EDC, UNWIND!)

I missed Nicholos Bennison due to friends lagging. I should of just gone early since instead of leaving at 5ish as planned we got there at 8!

Dysen was awesome, great way to start off the night but can see why it would be slow going from Nic to Dysen :p

J:eyes:F was on point! he remembered me from SF, liked my J:eyes:F shirt, asked for my contact info, and even talked about Sarah not being here due to her surgery :( seriously one of my two favorite sets of the night!

Infected Mushrooms - stayed for the first 30 minutes and damn they had the crowd going

Hernan Cattaneo - talked to him shortly 20 minutes before his set and getting kicked out by security due to not having a wrist band :( he had just flown in from london but hot damn, his set was great! from beginning when I was front and center until the end when I was chilling in the back cause the crowd was too much for me. this was the other favorite set of mine.

above & beyond - meh, wrost set of the night for me. they're set at 1015 was a thousand times better :D

awww, see that's why i love this scene!!! i missed you gil and of course jOOf!! damn this surgery but hey, looks like i'll be dancing again to jOOf in SF for lovefest afterparty with you guys again!!! better, stronger and crazier if that's possible!! see you in september
