off the mark. a racist word, or racist connotations, is doesnt matter there is an obvious connection made between the comment and the person it was intended for.
You really need to stop pretending that connection doesn't exist. |

Does it really matter though? People just need to suck it up. People will always be refered to by race and colour. Until there is a complete diversification of races, then race will always be used to distinguish between people. |

I agree with you on everything except sucking it up. I chose my words carefully. There is however no need to "distinguish" in such an overt, public manner.
This person, whoever said it initially would never walk into Jane & Finch and call every black guy they saw "Ghetto Dude", because it is obvious what would happen. Why, because the connotations are obvious. |

I am so sick and tired of all this "i am a victim..poor me" bull. I am sorry, but out of all the minority groups blacks use the race card the MOST! Weather its getting bad service somewhere, or not getting any service at all or whatever...its always "cuz i'm black". Maybe you were just a ing prick or maybe the guy working was a prick and is like that to everyone.!!!!
Also, I don't remember one case where our buddy Sharpton had his panties in a bunch when some black people offended white people due to race! This guy is a ing HYPOCRITE!
I am not denying that there is racism...THERE IS! But this stupid people that milk it or scream racism for every ing thing are ruining it for everyone else. So when it really does happen, sometimes it is dismissed as "just another person trying to play the race card".

right. You've digressed dramatically. A racist comment provokes a negative response; and the blame, by your blistering logic is not on the the person spewing the racist comment.
I'm sure if you call people by their derogatory names, many of them will be more than pissed; but would have gone on their merry way had they not been provoked.
