I was only there for their second set.
The whole time I was wondering what the hell were people facing the stage for?
I guess most up front didn't realize where the DJs were. |

After The Rapture, their stuff sorta reminded me of an Erol Alkan set, as I pointed out to one or two people there, although his sets are a little more varied and have much better mixing. I've never heard the term "electro-clash" before but I guess it makes sense. Some if it is actually really cool - get ahold of Erol's 2005 EM and you'll see what I mean (or maybe you won't).
'Course none of it compares to Daft Punk. Although I'd consider it an honour to be opening for them, I don't think anybody was really that interested in the backup acts... |

| great show. I was of course, more intoxicated than I really needed to be, but I thoroughly enjoyed the the music and the lighting and seeing ppl i haven't seen in forever. I seriously have on a different pair of glasses in every picture. I have liked The Rapture for a while.. but it was my first time seeing them live, so I was pretty happy to hear them play, I've also been digging SebastiAn, and I found most of that set to be pretty good.. Daft Punk did not disapoint.. the energy from the crowd was amazing, there are just so few parties like that.. on a side note, I have never budded in line so much in my life, the line to get in was wrapped around like crazy and it took less thab 8 minutes to get in. I'm sorry to anyone I hugged to hard. I missed you guys. |

19 minutes of Daft Punk GOODNESS:
I was able to take vids from the very opening moments, down to the very closing moments, the crowd screaming for an encore, and the encore itself. Enjoy! Edit: forgot to mention there's a funy part with Mikey going nuts when Daft Punk were teasing us with "Around the World". :p

Best night of my party career. Period. Hnads down. No contest.
This by far out did any WEMF.
Perfect set, went with the perfect group of friends, perfect vibe.
I didn't see a single person who wasn't 100% happy & greatful to be there.
It was so good, that I might as well stop partying now, becuase I'm pretty sure nothing will ever measure up to this, and everything will just be a sad, sad disappointment. I might be wrong, but I'm more than likely not. |
