one other thing that i really enjoyed the super friendly crowd in the line up, we met these two super cool people jason and amanda, ended up staying with them for pretty well the whole night!

Well, anyway - they put on a great show, my expectations were set ridiculously high but I was still blown away by the performance and the visuals. And I was really happy that they did the second mix of One More Time, because I was never a fan of the mashup version. :p
To everyone who missed this because they didn't want to shell out the $65 for a ticket - you suck! One 90-minute show from Daft Punk was worth at least ten 4-hour sets from any DJ.

i have waited 10 years for this day. i remember when i first bought daft punk homework i was hooked. finally. the day came. and all i can say is.
HOLLY ING CRAP THAT WAS ABSOLUTLEY ING AMAZING.
a 15/10 show. omg. i was left speechless. just amazing.
after this i dont think i can go to anyother parties. its just not going to be the same.
my fav was when they came back for the encore with the red outlines. and at the end they had daft punk outlined on their backs.

Yeah, this was definitely worth every penny. I think the part that made this show so very very special is that the visuals and music complemented each other so well that the both of them were working together as one to give me an experience I'll never forget. If I was judging it on music alone (as I usually do with music performances), then this would have been pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. That glowing pyramid and the panel behind them is what made the show a 10/10. Stellar. I won't bother with a detailed review cause I was around Mikey the whole time, and he has a down-to-the-minute account of what happened. I didn't like the way Sebastian and Kavinsky started off their first set, but the later portion of their first set, and their entire second set was great. I'll think of more to say as it comes to me.
Oh, I got a load of vids: from the very beginning, some songs in the middle, the last song, the crowd screaming for 5 minutes, and the encore. I'm going to put them together into one long vid and upload.

Trish can be very... determined at times. I gave up trying to wiggle my way to the front too. Freaking hot in middle and I was trying not to move.

Still think the price was a bit steep for 90min show and I'd have been totally satisfied with a 2 hr show, but yeah. At least this is way better than 6 hours of Armin or Tiesto.

Oh, and that sound system was ing CRISP. The sound inside was perfect, couldn't have asked for more. The venue itself is nice too (free parking, quick to get in), I don't see why no other EDM events get thrown in there.
Also, while I was getting my friend water during Daft Punk's performance, I saw paramedics hoisting an ODing girl into a wheelchair. Everyone was looking at her in complete shock, and I've seen this so many times by now, lol.
