You know, I watched the Bears-Chargers game today and Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were really ing getting on my nerves. I guess I never really noticed how absolutely lifeless Joe Buck calls a game. He sounds like William Shatner whenever somebody scores. Take for instance today when Gould hit his FG. "Gould...good." Wow how ing inspiring! I think I hate FOX as a whole and really wish the World Series and entire MLB playoffs would be handed over to NBC or ESPN again.

well, CBS still pay quite a bit to carry the Masters and only recently managed to start covering half the field playing the front nine on the weekend.
I know it's all about money...I just wish NBC or ESPN would step up their offer because their sportscasters are far superior to the guys on FOX. There is one guy on FOX who isn't bad though...Dick Stockton? He's older but quality.

I guess that's a big part of the problem then right? Aren't the ratings for the World Series dismally dwindling every year? I think it's the same with the NBA Finals and we all know about 95% of the people in the world who actually watch the Stanley Cup Finals are Canadian. Business decisions aside, it's too bad FOX have their hands all over nearly every sport. They're such a show in terms of quality programming, including sports.

update: oh, yeah, Mike. Nobody but you could POSSIBLY understand the QB Rating, since it doesn't go to 100. You're just so brilliant. We're all inferior. Please, Mike, how on earth do you calculate field goal distance? I'm oh so lost. Please help us plebeians understand.
^^perfect example of why I made this thread. It's the s like Mike Tirico that drive me nuts, because they genuinely think that they're smarter than everyone watching the game. I'm always reminded of last year, when Chris Collinsworth just made fun of a guy dressed as Andy Reed in Philly. He just went on & on & on, talking about how dumb he must be, and how it's just so funny that the fans feel such a need to latch onto the game...& how the guy was probably gonna go back to his job cleaning toilets & ask all his friends if they saw him on tv, and it was going to make his year. Not one of them understands who pays their bills, or that anyone who watches sports could possibly be intelligent or independent. They all think they're gods, and act as such. The thought never even occurs to them that not everyone wants to be a pro athlete or that someone could have a life that doesn't involve sports.

and Collinsworth... god... I hate him so much... I want to punch his lights out, and HE ALWAYS s up... like yesterday with Bob Costas: "What a game from Bill Parcells and the New England Patriots..." AND bob didn't correct him on his stupid ass blunder.... this isn't the first time either, he screws up his words at least twice a week... and its always the TWO seconds I"m watching him before I can change the channel... I just wish he'd get fired for life!!!
