| Just one comment. They're members of the media. Everyone knows you find all your idiots and asshats working in government and media. I didn't know there were professional standards for reporters, etc... except being a complete douchebag ass hat to begin with. Nobody with a solid head on their shoulders writes articles for a living. |

| some are much better than others, though. Kenny Mayne vs. Chris McKendry? Johnny 'Red' Kerr vs. Tom Tolbert? Come on, now. |

| I'm not sure if he's been mentioned already but Murray Walker is the best motorsports commentator of all time. |

LOL. Keyshawn Johnson was just talking about the Redskins, & tried twice to say "Jason Campbell," then gave up & said "that guy Jason."

It might have been Emmitt, actually...I wasn't paying too much attention, and Parcells came on after it, so I assumed it could only be Keyshawn. |

"Carl Edwards takes the checkered flag, but he's gotta give it back, 'cuz they need it for the race next week."
Kenny Mayne is back. :stongue: |

what a great thread..
since college football is my forte i have some beef with a few and some praise for others..
the college game day crew- they are truely knowledgeable with what they talk about.. Lee Corso does sometimes ramble with the upset special or go out on a limb more than he needs to but he is pure entertainment.. (all three show no bias to their alma-matters either[sometimes i try to persuade myself that Kirk is, but he truely speaks the truth][Chris-Colorado, Lee-FSU, Kirk-Ohio St.])
Chris and Kirk are both 100% hands down the best two total football analysts on TV... Chris is the journalist but knows equally as much as the rest... but here's why they are so great...
They think before they speak... some of the old fashioned guys like CBS's prime duo of Verne Lundquist/Gary Danielson can talk about some random big game with a big play in 1988 vs whovever as good as anybody.. but to be quick thinking and on the spot of current trends and noticing a retaliation personal foul or.. my personal fav from a couple weeks ago...
Gary Danielson had no idea about a player catching a ball on a kickoff with one foot in bounds and one foot out of bounds... 4 plays later somebody from teh truck came up and corrected them for bad mouthing the refs for their proper call... I was literally yelling at the TV in disgust.. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstriet would have known that call instantly...
dont get me started with keyshaun and emmit on NFL countdown... i actually think emmit is worse (did anybody see him in the NCAA champ pre-half-post game??? i was ashamed to be a UF alum seeing that disgrace,... i shook it off pretty quickly b/c we had just won the NC) |
