I thought the team 'functionated' very well tonight. And fair play to Emile Heskey for proving his worthiness in the team and a lot of people wrong in the process.  |

dude your ing country lost to Scotland
and that was a convincing win by England yesterday. Michael Owen is sure making a case that his career as a top striker isn't dead just yet! I have never defended McClaren but he must be given his due for doing whatever he has done to turn this team and this qualifying campaign around. |

no, he didn't. tbh it's been a long time since we had a great coach. Venables had us playing ok during 96 and sir bobby in 1990 was a good team but we never had someone like cloughie who could've done just that. Right now, that includes guys like Scolari, Cappello, Huidink and the 2 guys who managed denmark & sweden for so long, who got a lot out of what they had to work with. |
