well the Israelis don't like the Russians too much (for supplying their Arab enemies in the 60s, 70s and still today with ing Iran) but hey...you never know. It's not like England is very well liked around the world either so I guess we'll just have to wait.
An England win and Russia draw is certainly possible but the pressure will be immense and the ONLY saving grace for us is that this game will be played at Wembley in front of a glorious crowd. England seem to get up in front of their own fans so all hope is not lost, but I'd say the chances are worse than 50/50.
It should never have got to this point though and for that I blame the FA and McClaren, as well as the players. Robinson's earlier gaffes in net are ing us here big time, among others (cough Gerrard cough). |

well there's a pleasant surprise :D the croatia match should be tense but i get the feeling england will scrape it, a) because it's at home and b) because croatia don't have as much to play for |

it had to happen. everyone with a nounce of football knowledge could see what was going to happen when smilie steve was put in charge.
croatia fought like a cup final, and had virtually nothing to gain. their manager was standing out in the rain, shouting, ranting and raving, really fighting to win.
steve's biggest ever game and hes standing, still, silent, with his coat on, under an imbrella. incredible. |

By the way, as I've already said in another thread: Odds for England not qualifying tonight were 16/1. How ing gutted am I for not sticking down 20 sheets. :( Could see that coming a mile off. |
