I would like to introduce myself. My name is Omer (http://www.omersproductions.com) and we have put together quite a team of promoters to join GIANT on Saturday nights.
I have been promoting hip hop clubs for 7 years, however, my true love is Electronic. I am from Israel and have grown up on the music way before it was popular in the US. My partners and I are all very excited to be a part of GIANT.
As for this new promotion, our intent is to compliment & supplement the existing GIANT promotion, NOT to change the scene or diminish the night in any way. My partners and I predominantly cater to a Hip Hop crowd, however, we have a strong following for Electronic music. In fact, every time I go to GIANT I tend to run into a big crowd of regular clubgoers that attend our events as well.
Ultimately, our goal is to help GIANT round up the regular clubgoers who go to Hip Hop clubs only because their friends all like Hip Hop. Also, it will mean that our guests will now be exposed to Electronic music which will hopefully create new fans.
Bottom line is: Our crowd is no different from the crowd that regularly goes to GIANT. The VIP room will focus on different music, but the rest of the club is still very much GIANT.
My partners and I hope that you view this as a positive step not a negative step for the night. why don't you support country and rock crowd, their chicks are much better than hip-hop and EDM. i would be there every night and spend tons of money on booze.

We support all crowds...as long as the ratio of girls/guys is correct. We cater to a mixed demographic of ethnicities but we don't attract the ghetto element, only an upscale crowd.
The music for our promotions is fairly consistent:
- Mostly Hip Hop and Old School although we throw in sets of Rock, House, and mashups.
- Vanguard is renovating the downstairs lounge on the Hollywood Blvd side and that room will be 80s, Mashups, Groovy & Progressive House.
With any of our promotions, if we have a second room we use it for house music. We promote Fridays at Element Nightclub in Hollywood and our back house room is packed with people every week.

Thanks for the clarification Omer! I am also a firm believer that this promotion can only compliment the current Giant promotion.
I personally have worked with many Hollywood promoters and Omer is by far one of the most respectable persons in the industry.

sorry i don't do hip-hop....and being in a ghetto area aka hollywood you can't expect this club not to attract a ghetto element. as if the washing machines weren't bad enough, now you wanna bring wannabe gangbangers into the scene too? i remember there being a shooting at the vanguard awhile back, and it was during a hip-hop night. why can't you stick to your own venues like the ivar and that highland club whatever its called?

Actually the shooting at vanguard was during an Asian promotion that catered to an urban crowd.
We have very strict rules at the door and our doorstaff is there to make sure that we don't let the WRONG element in.
Element Nightclub is one of the "in" spots in Hollywood and do you think they would turn their Friday nights over to promoters who catered to a ghetto crowd? Probably not...
I'll stand by our crowd any day of the week.

ummmm.....you really can't control who goes in the club so it really doesn't matter what crowd you "cater" to. otherwise we wouldn't have all the cracked out washing machines and horny people who go to edm clubs like its a strip club.

True, it's amazing the that people do when they get drunk and f*d up...We do our best to minimize incidents but sometimes it's not enough...
But we definitely CAN control who does and doesn't get into our door...Our doorstaff rejects people ALL THE TIME.
