thats my case. as soon as i get a ticket, my parents wont pay for my insurance. no way i can afford a grand for insurance with school and other stuff.

damn ever since this thing got passed i have been seeing squad cars every 2 to 3 blocks it's insane

oh yah and i came across an interesting fact apparently 3:00 am is when most car accidents happen so if any1 is planning on doing some speeding at that time wait a couple of hours or do it before lol although i highly doubt people are as willing to do it now

I think if I tried to go 150 in my old car it would have shook so much it would have fallen apart.

Well I suppose if it's possible to do something then it must be safe and a good idea.

Listen, I drive fast too, very fast... but I still think this is a good law. You all know what you're doing is illegal... you do something illegal you take your chances of suffering the consequences. Don't bitch about it not being fair or just simply because you don't like it. This is both fair and, IMO, justified.

I knew what I was doing ..I took the chance.
I know its stupid and illegal.Wasn't bitching about getting the ticket,
I just dont understand why i would be deemed as a racer while i was just on my way to work.

Would you feel better if they just went back to the old terminology and just deemed you a Reckless Driver, charged you criminally and put you infront of a judge with a potential custodial sentance?
SkyHigh
Yea i would.

P.S I was only a danger to myself:whip:

This is just incorrect. While I don't have any figures at my disposal right now; it's safe to say that there is a rather heafty cost to the state in terms of police investigations, heath care, repair to damaged property, etc. due to idiots turning themselves into road pizza. That makes you a danger to my bank account.

you are not being deemed a racer....you are being deemed an aggresive driver and the penalty for being an aggresive driver falls within the same category as a racer....people have to get this whole racer crap out of their head.

ouch, one more reason not to come and visit you guys. I usualy make the mtl-to drive at an average of 150kmh... the highway is straight and boring, its the only way to keep me alert enough and not doze off:whip:

i remember getting a ticket at around 7am coming back from VIVA when i was exiting the DVP... the exit had a speed limit of 50kmh about 150meters from the highway... as if I am going to slam the brakes from 100kmh to 50kmh:rolleyes:

Can't say I've ever gone 200 km/h while sketched out.
